It stretches for 30 kilometers, from south to north, and has become one of the favorite places for hiking enthusiasts.
Day 01: Llamac (3300m) / Paso Pampa Llamac (4,300m) / Jahuacocha (4100m)
Transfer in transport to the city of Llamac where the starting point of the trek is located, ascending for 3 hours to the Pampa Llamac pass 4,300m. Time: 5 to 6 hours approx. Camp: Jahuacocha (4100m).
Day 02: Jahuacocha (4,100m) / Paso Sambunya (4,700m) / Cuartelhuain
This day we will ascend until we reach the Sambunya pass at an altitude of 4700m. from where you can see the mountains of Rondoy, Jirishanca Chico and Jirishanca Grande, Yerupaja, Rasac, Sacra and the Solteracocha lagoon. Walking time: 5 to 6 hours approx. Camping: Cuartelhuain (4100 m).
Day 03: Cuartelhuain (4,100m) / Paso Cacananpunta (4,750m) / Mitucocha (4150m)
This day we will climb for approximately 3 hours towards the Cacananpunta pass at a height of 4,750m. From where we can appreciate the mountains of the Huallanca mountain range. Walking time: 5 to 6 hours approx. Camp: Mitucocha (4150m).
Day 4: Mitucocha (4,150m) / Paso Carhuac (4,600m) / Carhuacocha (4200m)
This day we will ascend to the Carhuac Pass at a height of 4,600m. from where we can appreciate the mountains such as: Carnicero, Siula, Yerupajagrande and Yerupajachico. Walking time: 5 to 6 hours approx. Camp: Carhuacocha (4200 m).
Day 5: Carhuacocha (4,200 m) / Siula Pass (4,830 m) / Carhuacocha
This day we will ascend to Siula Pass at a height of 4,830m. From here we appreciate the mountains of Siula, Yerupajagrande and Yerupajachico and the 3 famous lagoons of Huayhuash. Walking time: 5 to 6 hours approx. Camp: Carhuacocha (4200 m).
Day 6: Carhuacocha Lagoon 4,200m / Queropalca (3,830m).
This day we will walk towards the town of Queropalca and thus we will leave behind the Huayhuash mountain range. Walking time: 4 to 5 hours approx. Camp: Queropalca (3830 m).
Day 7: Queropalca / Huanucopampa / Huaraz (3,100 m)
After dismissing our muleteers, we will approach our private mobility to Huanucopampa; Inca archaeological site. That we will visit for approx. 1 hour, then the return to Huaraz continues. Walking time: 1 hour approx. (8 hours by bus).
