Llanganuco Lake
Beautiful lagoons of turquoise water, famous in Peru and the world, located 84 kilometers northeast of Huaraz, and 25 km from Yungay; in the Huascarán National Park. This magnificent natural setting is located in a narrow glacial valley, between the Nevados Huascarán (6 768 m) and Huandoy (south peak 6,160 m).

The full day tour Laguna Llanganuco that includes a visit to the towns of Callejón de Huaylas, Campo Santo de Yungay (a city that was destroyed in the earthquake and avalanche of 1970), also visits the Chinancocha lagoon located in the Llanganuco valley between the Huandoy and Huascaran mountains.
On this day we will enter the Huascaran National Park and we will see the highest mountain in Peru, the Huascaran 6768 masl. We will also visit the ancient city buried by the earthquake and avalanche of 1970 Yungay-Campo Santo, now a World Heritage Site. We begin our visit leaving north of Huaraz arriving at the town of Carhuaz to enjoy the traditional ice creams prepared and the photographic shots of the Plaza de Armas, we go to Yungay to visit the city buried in the ’70, the Campo Santo then we ascend to the Chinancocha lagoon in Llanganuco we will have a boat ride then we descend and go to Caraz for the visit and shopping for the delicacies prepared by hand, returning to Huaraz we visit the artisan town of Taricá
