Located two hours from the city of Caraz -capital of the province of Huaylas-, you will have no problem getting to the lagoon, since tourism agencies will drive you to this point in the Huascarán National Park. Keep in mind that the height in Parón reaches 4140 meters above sea level, so you must be well acclimatized. The day before, eat lightly and pack the essentials in your suitcase. The Paron Lagoon is located in a creek of the same name on the east side of the city of Caraz in the Cordillera Blanca, which is accessed by an established road (trail type) is an excellent point to observe the most important pyramidal ontañas of the Cordillera Blanca. After picking up at the hotel, we drive in our mobility to the city of Caraz, which is 70 km north of Huaraz, from here we start a gradual ascent through an affirmed road to the Parón Lagoon. Once in the Parón lagoon we can take advantage of the time to walk around the lagoon and observe the wild Andean flora; in addition to observing the most important pyramidal mountains of the Cordillera Blanca such as the Artesonraju, Piramide Garcilazo, Caraz. Its beautiful turquoise waters make this place an impressive destination.
After spending time and taking many photographs, we will return by the same route to the city of Caraz and continue to Huaraz.
