Pisco is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca, which is part of the largest mountain range, Huandoy Massif, located in Yungay province. 01 Day: Huaraz – Cebollpampa (3900 m) – Base Camp (4700 m)
From Huaraz, we will take a transport to Cebollapampa (approx. 2 to 3 hours). Along the way, you will be able to appreciate incredible views such as two beautiful lagoons: Chinancocha (lag. Female) and Orconcocha (lag. Male). We will follow the Llanguna valley to Cebollapampa. From there, we will start the trek to Campo Morrena, where we will camp for the night. The walk will last approx. 4 to 5 hours.
02 Day: Ascent – Nevado Pisco Summit (5752 m) – Base Camp
We will start walking at 3 am, crossing some moraines on the way to the glacier. Then, we will climb a slope (35 ° -40 ° inclination) until we reach the peak, where we will be rewarded with spectacular views, such as the gigantic Chacraraju, the Artesonraju, Huandoys, Caraz, Huascaran and piscomayo, among others. Later we will descend to Campo Morrena where we can rest and have lunch before continuing to the base camp. Approx. 6 to 7 hours.
03 Day: Base Camp – Huaraz
On the third day, we will go back down to Cebollapampa, where our bus will be waiting for the trip back to Huaraz. 1h30 to 2h of descent.
