This trekking connects with the famous trekking of Santa Cruz in the detour of the latter to the town of Vaquería, then it crosses the Yanayacu Pass and ends in the Ulta ravine, with views of beautiful glaciers and lagoons. In case it only takes two days, consider four to five if you want
Day 1: Huaraz / Quebrada Ulta / Hualcapampa
This day private transportation takes us to the Ulta stream where we start the trek to the first camp in Hualcapampa.
Day 2: Hualcapampa / Paso Yanayacu (4850 m.) / Molinopampa (3650 m.)
We begin to zigzag up to the Yanayacu pass, from where we will have an impressive view of the Cordillera Blanca, then we begin to descend to camp. Walking time: 5 – 6 hours approx. Camping: Molinopampa 3650 m.
Day 3: Molinopampa (3650 m.) / Colcabamba (3500 m.) / Paria (3850 m.)
The walk is lighter since we will not climb any step, we will only cross the entire valley, where we will pass through the towns of Chalhua, Calcabamba, Huaripampa and the view of the Nevado Chacraraju, which we will then reach the camp. Walking time 5 to 6 hours approx. Camping: Paria (3850 m.).
Day 4: Quebrada Paria (3810 m.) / Taullipampa (4250 m.)
We will pass through the Punta Unión pass 4750 m. from where you have an impressive view of the Cordillera Blanca. Walking time 6 to 7 hours approx. Taullipampa Camping (4250 m.).
Day 5: Taullipampa (4250 m.) / Llama Corral (3760 m.).
We deviate from the route to a viewpoint where we can see the southwest side of the Alpamayo mountain. then we continue the route We pass through the lagoon of Jatuncocha and Ichiccocha then we arrive at the camp. Walking time 5 to 6 hours approx. Llama Corral Camping (3760 m.).
Day 6: Llamacorral (3760 m.) / Cashapampa / Huaraz.
This day we will only descend along the Santa Cruz stream and then we will arrive at the town of Cashpampa, where we will be transported for the transfer to Huaraz. Walking time 4 to 5 hours approx.
